I had to replace the brushes on my 2000 Caravan alternator so I had to remove the serpentine belt. I was able to remove the belt by prying the idler pulley inwards to take of the pressure and slip it off so I think you should be able to do the same thing.
If you are mechanically inclined and have the right tools, buy an owners manual where you buy the replacement belt and follow instructions. There is a belt tensioner that is a critical part of the process. If you don't have the skills or tools, get a couple of quotes and have it done at a reputable shop. Most likely should cost less than $125.
I go to the local parts store & buy a repair book for the vehicle for approx. $20, read the procedure in the book, gather the tools & parts required, replace the belt per the instructions
