It has a carb right. It is screwed into the carb. The fuel line is screwed to the filter.

That depends, some have filters in the tank. But most of them are under the truck running along the frame. You should be able to get a haynes or chiltins manual and it will tell you where it is.

I need to know where the 2nd fuel filter is on a 1985 ford ranger V6. I found the one under the drivers side. I am trying to find the smaller one. thank you!
The small fuel filter will be located at the carburator. I have included a photo with a red arrow pointing to where the filter will be located. If you follow the fuel line into the carb, that is where you will find it. Good Luck.

Fuel shutoff switch located by passenger right foot kick panel. remove cover and reset switch. Come problem with rangers. Switch gets weak and passenger kicks panel and truck shuts fuel off.

I would change the filter first, if that doesnt help check the fuel pressure. if it doesnt hold around 30psi fuel pump could be bad.
