Try putting the key in the driver door lock and turning from lock to unlock. That should dissable the factory alarm system. You may have to do it a few times before it works.
But when I hook the battery up without the key in the ignition the horn keeps going off. If I have the key in the ignition horn won't go off How do I stop the horn from going off
You'll have to tolerate the horn until you do the door trick. Only other thing is if you have the remote key fob, hit unlock when it starts beeping. If you can find the fuse for the horns, unplug it 1st, then procede.
Ok I'll try. But will the horn stop if it's fixed or will I have to try and turn the truck on while the horn is going off
Did not work

SOURCE: starting problem
This may sound like a problem with a fuel pump. To test if it is with the security system, with a battery in parallel or a working battery, you should be able to disable the alarm via the key or have it manually disabled, then see if it will start
SOURCE: 2001 aurora won't start at all. Hook batery
The security system does not disable the starter, it only disables fuel to the engine. In the fuse block under the hood, locate the STARTER relay. Place your hand on this relay and see if it clicks while someone else turns the key to start...if the relay is ok then the starter itself is faulty. Good luck, i hope this helps.

Press station 1 and 6 and turn the ignition key to on position but donot start the vehicle, you will see the unlock code flashing, note the number that is your radio code, read your vehicle manual and insert code to unlock.
