The drivers door latch is locked in a position that stops the door closing. I went to the passenger side and just poked the latch with a screwdriver and now that will not close either! Basically, I have 2 doors open and cannot close them either with the key in the drivers door or with the buttons on the key or in the car
SOURCE: Driver's side door not latching / closing
pull the outside handle and unlatch the latching assembly by hand by insertins a screwdriver where the striker would normally be if the door were closed - and pry out.
You can adjust the striker by loosening the bolts, and moving it in toward the cabin.
If the door itself is droopy, adjustments are made by the hinge by loosening the bolts and lifting up or down.
Multiple attempts will be necessary to get it just right.
Dont get frustrated if it doesnt fit properly in the 1st or second attempt.
Good Luck!!

SOURCE: door ajar light stays on
go to your local parts store and buy a can of PB BLASTER lubricant then open each door and spray the latch assembley really good then close and open the door 10 to 15 times. do this with each door. the door ajar light switch is located in the door latch assembley and cannot be seen so soak the latch assembleys really good so lube reaches the switch. these switches sometimes get stuck but this usually frees up the switch
put a screwdriver in the latch jaws and force it open
SOURCE: How to disarm car alarm
Most security systems on vehicles have a small single pole throw type switch located under the dash board area on the drivers side, whatever direction you find the switch set in flip the switch to the opposite side to disarm the alarm, this is called putting the alarm in a passive or valet type mode until you can have the whole system checked by a certified alrm install facility that deals with the type alarm you have in your vehicle.

Usually answered in minutes!
I phoned a dealer and managed to speak to the Service Manager. He said all you have to do is sit in the car and pull on the door open handle TWICE. I did this for both sides and now it is fine! Fixed in 2 minutes and no charge?
