The lights were left on. Battery died which set off the alarm. Finally got in when we figured out how to use the manual key. Alarm turned off. We fully charged the car. Now the car won't start. It says it cannot detect the key. We've never had issues with these keys before. Help.
SOURCE: car wont start
charge or replace the car battery as low volts can cause this type of fault
to move re place the battery leads turn on dash lights put foot on brake and put in in neutral as there is a elec lock on the gear stick opperated by brake padel

hi there
from what it sounds to me is that the alarm is still in anit theft mode
i had this happen to my vehicle
one thing you can try is lock all the doors try and unlock from the passenger side make sure that all the lock come up to the top where they should be
then try it
if that does not work then lift up the rear of the car like it was being towed and it should reset the alarm
short of that you will have to have alarm shop come to you

Okay you may want to check to see if the sensor on door lock cylinder hasn't fallen off from the lock itself. Pull of the door panels and check the wires at the door lock cylinder. Hope this helps.

you need to reset alarm/immobiliser.lock car with remote, hold button down for 30 secs, then press/hold down unlock button, should reset.another way is with key in ignition/turned on, press alarm button down and hold for 30 secs.this resets immobiliser.toyota
systems vary..depending on market.

My GS 300 arlarm kept going off now for two months unless the battery is disconnected; the solution to my problem was that my key had an electrical fault. I confirmed it by placing the faulty key within a metal box or a steal pot with a heavy lid. upon doing so it stopped going off. I later purchased a new key
