Some displays contain chips to drive the gauges, and these can fail within the instrument unit.
There are specialist firms that will test, repair and replace defective components for a fraction of dealer prices. I sugest you start looking online at specialist companies offering this in your area.

This may be 2 seperate problems, fuel guage issue may be the fuel guage sending unit, the temp guage may be a stuck open thermostat. Have the engine temp checked after driving at least 5 miles, does the gas guage ever move around even a little, if so it is the fuel gauge sending unit in the tank.
