Horn blows repeatedly and highlights flash repeatedly for no reason.

Details provided by Rob's wife: Horn wouldn't stop blowing and headlights wouldn't stop flashing, so Rob disconnected the battery. Earlier in the evening, the cooling fan wouldn't stop running after the car was turned off even though the outside temp is about 30 degrees F. Rob removed the fan relay, which stopped the fan, but Rob's wife wonders if removing the fan relay precipitated the horn blowing and lights flashing. How do we remove these gremlins?

Try your remote batteries i would remove them from both remotes then reattach the batt cable if this dosen't work could be a bad alarm controller fan relay has nothing to do with it you need a new radiator fan thermo switch located on the radiator

SOURCE: horn fuse keeps blowing out

Check the wiring around the horn and make sure nothing is touching metal...look under the hood at the horn and make sure everything is pluged in and there is no water on any plugs or wiring...Make sure the fuse is the correct number (ex: 10, 20, 25) If it is still blowing out the fuse then you after you do some checking then it is a short in some wires

SOURCE: Toyota Tacoma '03 horn sticks

If you are getting water in the fuse box, it could be shorting the system out and in turn the horn would blow. Some manufactures put 2 fuses for the horn too. One for the horn and one for the horn relay. That is another one, maybe the relay is bad or wet. Hope i put some light on your answer. Good luck!!

SOURCE: Would appreciate help for a Toyota Corolla 2007 non-working horn.

If the horn works with direct connection, and fuse, relay, and circuit breaker are all good, it's the switch in the steering wheel. If it is anything like the chrysler auto's, the switch and the air bag module is all one unit, can't replace just the switch, the whole thing, and it's about $700 to $800 for those units, at least it is here, and can only get them at a dealer.

SOURCE: 2001 Solara fans run all the time after radiator installation.

the thermostat should be located inside the fan shroud it will be a small silver rectangular box usually @1/2" x 2" with a wire coming off of it (most models NOTE:if check engine light is on it will probably be the temp sending unit located elsewhere) however I would try to find a relay with the same numbers on it as the third one you pulled and swap the two then see if the fans stop and you will know if the relay is bad

Why does horn blow fuse repeatedly

I would say that you have a problem with the horn circuit. When more amps are pulled thru a fuse than it is rated to handle is when it blows by design. Either the horn is bad, or you have a wire shorted to ground somewhere in the circuit.

What fuse do i take out to keep the horn from blowing on a 2000 dodge stratus

Simply Take Out 10 amp Fuses One at a Time Until Horn Stops, Repeat With 15-20-25 amp If Necessary But Most Likely 10-20 Amp Fuse

Horn won't blow in my 2001 toyota corolla

CHECK for bad grounding of horn itself, rust and oxidation may not allow it to ground, also try "jumping" a wire from battery to horn, if it blows horn itself is good, contacts inside steering wheel button may be bent flat, or wire bad..

My horn isn't working quite right. It only blows if you push the button in a certain place and that certain place moves around all the time. But even when it does blow, it stutters. I don't think...

if it was a fuse problem the horn wouldn`t make a noise.it sounds like the horn contacts that touch when you push on the button are not making proper contact each time.if you remove the horn button and look at the contact spots you may see the problem(uneven contact surfaces).if you move/bend the contact surfaces closer to each other of straighten this may help the problem.you may even have a horn that needs to be replaced as you said when it does work it stutters and not blow.the diaphragm in the horn can dry out and not vibrate like it should.try tapping on the horn when someone tries to blow the horn if it stops or gets louder then the diaphragm is no good.you could also check the connection at the horn itself it may have a bad connection due to corrosion and just need cleaning.

My 02' mdx won't come out of park, keep blowing a 20 amp fuse. This fuse controls the Cruise, break lights, memory seat, horn and linkage. I have to manually delink. I have unhooked the comand...

Here is an idea, when do you blow the fuse key on, key on engine running, key on engine running hitting the break pedal? Try and get the key on without blowing fuse if possible, then one at a time try those circuit loads ie: horn, brake pedal and so on, if you isolate which load is pulling to many amps(blowing fuse) unplug that load itself, then restart testing, see if fuse stays ok. You can also substitue the fuse with a circuit breaker and unplug each load until click(of breaker) stops.

The fuse for the horn keeps blowing. Any reason

Most common problem is the ground that the horn connects to wit the bolt is rusted and causes it to pull to much amperage so clean the contact first then if it still blows the fuse then the horn relay or the horn may be going bad.over time the horn gets junk in it and causes the coil to overheat and causes it to burn out. Horns cost $15.00 for a new horn and are easy to change. I doubt the relay is bad but it is always possible.
