check to be sure you have fire to the plugs and also check to be sure you have fuel to the engine. Not sure what year you are working on but if you have fire and fuel to the injectors or tbi unit then check to be sure cat converter or muffler is not plugged putting back pressure on engine. If you put fuel in the tbi unit and it starts better go to the fuel pump.
A very common problem is for the actually tiny stepper motor on the back of the guage itself to go out. Common to go out on 1 or more guages. Good thing is, very cheap off of e-bay and easy to install.
The oil pressure should go down after the engine heats up because of its viscosity. When you accelerate the pressure should go up and at idlen the pressure goes down. 20-40 psi range is normal.
