Ecm fuse location 2001 chevy astro van

I took my van to auto parts store because of the service engine light came on. They went to plug up there device on the computer to the van and said that the fuse for the computer was not working. Where is the fuse located and how do I replace it. I am not sure what the fuse is called but I think it is the ECM or ECU fuse. Can anyone help?

The power for the data link connector is from a 25amp fuse Number 7 in the IP fuse box. As long as the check engine light is on the computer has power.
The main computer power is from two ECM fuses in the box near the battery.
The fuse locations should be in the back of your owners manual.

1994 Chevy Astro van ECM fuse blows when key is turned on.

It needs retiring, how many million miles has it done? ;>)

Check the wires around the fuse boxes and the ECM. Look for wires that have rubbed through to the chassis.

Where is the ECM located in a 2001 chevy astro van?

This is for a 2004 but should be close. If not the astro also put them under the dash on the drivers side.

I have a 1996 Chevy Astro van ECM 20 A fuse burns as soon as start to drive. Please help I am stuck on rest area and don't know if I can fix this problem myself. thank you

Find the biggest fuse in the panel probably a 30amp that goes to something that you don't need to use right away. Use it for the ecm fuse. If the 30 amp fuse blows, you need to disconnect the ecm and reconnect to see if that makes any difference. Sounds like a short, but it could be in the harness or inside the ecm. If the 30 amp fuse holds, get to the nearest parts store and buy a supply of 30 amp fuses. 40 amp if they have them. Maybe that will get you home without having to call a tow truck.
