SOURCE: How much would it cost for a complete brake job on

Wow, not gonna be cheap. The brakes are sourced through Rambo, which means you either have to go directly to the dealer or Brembo for the pads and rotors. As I'm sure you know, Brembo is a very "high end" company. I contacted my local Mopar supplier and they don't even have a listing. If you are looking for a cheaper way out, see about just installing pads and not machining or replacing the rotors. You may get an occasional squeak, but I'm guessing you will save a pretty penny.

Check the brake switch sensor near the brake pedal (or on the lever) to make sure that it is engaging.

This is a c ommon problem to get stuck in park when this brake switch goes bad.

General public says it cost about $400 to have it done, and it's not a permanent fix. There's a plastic piece that is prone to breaking.
you can do it yourself for under $50.

I HAVE A 2007 DODGE CHARGER AND CAN NOT SHIFT OUT OF PARK. WHAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM?

Sounds like the gearshift interlock is not working. I assume you know you have to hold your foot on the brake with the ignition switched on. Check all the fuses. If they're ok you may need to take it to an auto electrician unless you can find the fault in the interlock system yourself. It may be that the switch may be faulty or out of adjustment. It is located down on the brake pedal.

My 2006 dodge charger is stuck in park how do i repair it

When the car gets stuck in park it is due to the park lock system, the system will not release unless the brake lights are on so if you have no brake lights then the gear shifter will not move. Check the brake lights first.

2007 dodge charger is stuck in park

Your vehicle has a brake shift interlock which simply means that it will not move out of park unless the brake is pressed in. A common cause for this to cause your interlock to cause this problem is if your brake llights are out but there could be a number of reasons for this. It's most likely electrical and you may need to have it looked at but check your fuses before you take it somewhere. it may be that simple. Below are instructions on how to override this in order to be able to shift gears and be able to drive it as well. I hope this helps and good luck.

Gear shift will not move from park

First thing to check is your brake lights. The brake interlock for the shifter relies on the switch that turns your brake lights on. If it's not working, you won't have brake lights OR the ability to move the shifter out of park. In an emergency, most of these vehicles have a small plug near the shifter that you can remove, push a button, and move the shifter without pushing the brake pedal.

Good luck.
