EGR Temp Sensor - Where does the EGR temp sensor plug in on a 2000 Frontier V6 3.3

The EGR was completely removed, I'm replacing it. I have all the necessary parts, yet I can't find the female plug into which the Temp sensor matches up to. It must go to the EECC, but it's either been cut off or hidden. I need to know where to look and/or to which control panel it belongs. Thanks.

SOURCE: Clean EGR ports and replace EGR temp sensor.

Test the Temp Sensor. I have a 240sx and apparently these things are notorious for burning out. I am in the midst of replacing them so i can smog. Best idea is to get one at a pick and pull (make sure its good) and throw it on there. Otherwise you will be spending 110 bucks on a brand new one as opposed to 35 which i just got mine for. You may have carbon deposits in your EGR system, but that is common. Too much WILL effect your cars EGR function. You can check for blockage but sticking (try not to laugh) a rubber tube the bottom hose of the EGR and sucking whilst the engine runs. If it starts idling rough or dies, then your system is still clear enough for it to be functioning properly. Realize that this system works off of exhaust fumes, and IS prone to carbon deposits. I paid 170 bucks for a mechanic to tell me i needed to replace some stuff. Otherwise he would graciously only charge me 770 bucks to do it himself.

SOURCE: 1999 Nissan Sentra Cam Shaft Sensor:

yes cam sensor is located in the distributor best way is to replace distributor .you will need a 12mm wrench. and a Philips screw driver. first mark the position the base is at because its adjustable.remove the cap with wires still attached and move it to the side.remove the rotor in the center.remove the distributor. upon istalation of new one the slot at bottom of distributor only goes on in one position then reinstall rotor and the cap.

01 honda accord hesitates at 2000 rpms. It will idle but it will not respond to the throttle when applied. will run but bogs down, revs up, couldn't drive it anywhere. won't stay running.

Mike is throwing general parts out there with no idea. The 01 Accord has a MAP, no MAF. And a coolant temp sensor is not expensive compared to other parts on a car.
Does the electric fan cycle on and off at idle? If so, coolant temp sensor is probably good.
Check the gap on your plugs. If too big it can cause acceleration issues.

Nissan Frontier 4 cylinder. scan code is p0300, random misfire

It could be a distributor failure. Have you checked the plugs to see if they are OK? It could be that they're carboned up or otherwise not in good running condition, causing the engine to misfire. Also, there could be damage to a spark plug wire. Take a look at the condition of the plugs and post up with what you see and we'll continue the diagnosis. Make sure that you note which cylinder you pull each plug from, so that you can describe the condition of the plug along with what you see when you remove it.

2000 bettle 1.9L turbo will only start if you unplug coolant temp sensor

Hello and welcome to FixYa!

If that's the case, I strongly suggest that you replace the coolant temp sensor. Looks like it's faulty and grounding the circuit. The car's computer can detect it that's why it won't start but once you disconnect it, it will for the coolant sensor is bypassed.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

Engine misses when cold only under load comes and goes for about 3 mins then all ok runs well after that

Sounds as though the problem is when in open loop

That is when it is cold & your temp sensor & computer
control fuel injector timing

As the temp goes up the O2 Sensors take over
injectors

I would guess the O2 Sensors are over 100,000 miles
You should clean MAF Sensor
Install Spark Plugs-if over 70,000 miles
Also new thermostat & possibly a new temp sensor

Under a load, that puts the EGR Valve into the picture
as vacuum is high

When engines cold it sounds like its misfiring, when warmed up runs good..smells like fuel mixing with oil, when i change the oil..yr is a 2000 l series with a twin cam

One idea...I just repaired one with a similar issue. Would run badly untill it warmed up a little, mainly right after starting. This case it was a coolant sensor. With a "live data" scanner, you can see what the sensor is reading. (It was 70 degrees F outside and the sensor showed 20 degrees F.)
