SOURCE: 1994 CHEVY K1500 BRAKE LIGHTS DON'T WORK TOP CAB LIGHT WORKS

I figured out my problem!
From the VERY BEGINING... I changed my brake pedal switch with a BRAND NEW switch, and the lights still didn't work.

Well, I went back down there with a live wire and touched the contacts..and guess what.. the brake lights lit up!

I got a faulty NEW brake pedal switch!! I went a year with this problem, so learn from my issue, test even your new parts if it doesn't fix the problem to completely rule it out!

I hope you guys figure out what's going on with your issue.

SOURCE: 2007 Chevy Silverado Center brake light works but back ones dont

There is a probable bad wiring connection in problem one and three.
#2 Possible water leak causing bulb break. Try wd40 in socket. you need a wiring diagam and cheap voltmeter if you want do it yourself.

SOURCE: 99 Chevy Tahoe... Rear turn signals, brake lights, and hazards

I had this problem, and to be honest, it happened to the left side about a week later...it's the board that the bulbs plug into...it's a very common problem with this model. So popular that you can normally get the socket board off the shelf at a parts store! it's extremely simple to replace, and I replaced all the bulbs at the same time!

I am having problems with rear brake lights, checked all bulbs, replaced brake switch, fuses checked, loose wires, both running lights and signal work, car is a2001 chevy lumina

Check the turn signal switch. especially if the center brake is the only brake light that comes on when you step on the brake pedal. Sometimes wiggling the switch will get the brake lights to work momentarily.

What type of brake light bulb do I need for a 95 geo prizm?

Take the old bulb out, there will be a number on the bulb, you can take that number or whole bulb to any parts store to have it replaced. '
If there is no bulb, again a parts store can look up the vehicle and get the correct bulb replacement

I'm having an unusual problem with a 1990 Geo Prizm. When I step on the brake the brake light comes on in the rear. When I turn on the lights the brake light goes out if I'm holding the brake pedal down....

Make sure you have the right bulbs in the right place...Sometimes they will fit, even though they are not right...Your brake light bulb should be a two filiment bulb...If it is one , then there goes your problem...Now if your bulbs are interchangable, go ahead an swap them around, and see what happens...Goodluck....
