Block Heater not working

I have a 2003 GMC Sierra Duramax and the temp in Michigan today is
-5. Had the block heater plugged in but it isn't working. I am assuming it is fused. Where is the fuse/breaker? I do have power to the plug.

There is no fuse on a block heater. It is an extension cord with a resistor (element) on the end (see photo. If it not working, the resistor (coil) has failed. A new block heater is required.
Before replacing, however, check the outlet and/or beaker the outlet is on to see if it has tripped.
Block Heater not working - b582a38.jpg I too live in s/e Michigan, and it was -19 this am. No block heater can keep up with these extreme temps.

Where is the block heater cord on my 2009 gmc sierra

don't know if they all had one. Check side of the block below exhaust manifolds and if you find the heater in the block, trace back the cord to find the plug. The plug will likely be tied up in a bundle and tucked away very near the front of the truck, near the headlight.

Where is the block heater cord in my 2008 sierra gmc

Block heater should be under exhaust manifold on passenger side of vehicle in place of one of the frost plugs. trace the wire coming out of this to find the plug if in fact you do have a block heater. It may be an option on your truck.

Where is heater control valve on 2003 dodge ram pick up

THERE IS NO HEATER CONTROL VALVE ON THE WATER HOSES. NEW HEATER CORE. INLET LINE right before heater core hot, outlet after core look warm. Burped cooling system 5 times with engine at operating temp. Installed homade burp VALVE right after heater core outlet(high part of hose). Still no heat. Removed water pump, impeller still in good shape not stripped off shaft. Removed heater core hoses flushed water thrue the connections on the block to the water pump INLET and outlet. flushed water thrue heater core and hoses. Going to put it back togeter today. Used known good gauge to check water temp for operating temp in test. 195 f

2003 duramax 2500 i need to know the location of the cord for the block heater

If it has the block heater, the heater is located on the drivers side center of engine block. You should be able to crawl underneath, and see where the heater is put in place of a freeze plug, and just follow the wires up.. Usually tucked in along the fender somewhere..
