Check to see if you enough Steering Fluid. If the fluid was recently flushed, make sure they put right kind of fluid. I once had my fluid replace and they topped it with the wrong spec fluid. Had to reflush and put the correct fluid. Belt will usually make noise, not cause the steering to stiffen up. Hope this helps, let us know if a better answer comes along.

TRANS. FLUID. I TOOK IT TO MY MECHANIC PUT NEW RAT AND FILL TANS, FLUID THEN PUT COOLANT IN THE RAD IT STARTS GT DRIVE I G AND 2 G REVERSE DID WANT TO GO

I would suggest that you try servicing the transmission and having the fluids and filters replaced. Dodge is really good about having transmission issues related to partially plugged filters or stuck valve bodies.

Its impossible to check transmission fluid, My best tip is to empty all oil out and look at your manual for car and See what it should be filled to sometimes its like 0.8L of fluid and fill up to level stated in manual that way you know its got enough fluid in and that its been replaced.

This is alot better than topping up old fluid

use only Mopar ATF 4 automatic transmission fluid MS-9602

Sure, it's probably just a loose or broken speedo cable, it runs from the transmission to the firewall. A mechanic can fix it in minutes.

on the driver side under hood there will be a small yellow cap on top of a reservior just in front the driver area. just open cap and install brake fluid until full.

shuddering brakes means you need a brake job... If you're up to it, take the rotors off and have them turned at a local auto parts store. pick up new pads while there...

Also, get some transmission fluid. watch the type for dodge is different than, say, ford. Drop the transmission pan and let all the old fluid drain into a large pan. replace filter while pan is off. replace and fill with recommended amount. [see owner's manual or chilton's guide.

Or - take to a mechanic and tell him. replace the pads, turn the rotors, new xmission fluid and filter...
