I had the same problem with a "Bulldog Security" brand remote. I called the 1-800, number on their website and they had me send it back. They sent another one , I plugged it in to the existing wire, harness that I installed, and it's been fine ever since. This is if it worked at all at some time. If it never worked right, it is wired wrong. There is a wire in the harness that's hard to identify, with the installation instructions. also, if the van has a factory alarm system, you'll need to purchase the bypass module from Bulldog.
Since the vehicle come with the transponder key,(key with security chip inside)You will need to leave a transponder key in the vehicle as close to the ignition as possible(preferably in a hidden location)
