My 2004 lincoln aviator is jerking when I excelerate.

It's small jerks. Now my check engine light is on. I was thinking I may need to add some transmission fluid, but I can't see where the dipstick is.

First go to the part store and have them check for codes on the computer. Check spark plug and wires. Hook up a timing light to each spark plug wire and see if the light skips. If so then change coil packs.

The Lincoln Aviaots do not have a dipstick. You will need to take the vechicle to an authorized dealer to have your transmission checked. I recommend what Dealt_soul stated first.

Rough idle and engine light is on my 2003 aviator 4.6 engine

If there is an Auto Zone around your area, have the truck scanned for the DTC codes which is causing your idle problem. There are to many things that can cause your trucks idle to be rough. Once you have it scanned, we can address the issue and have your truck running 100% again. Auto Zone scan free of charge and can give you the step by step instructions to repairing and replacing the parts needed. Good luck and keep me posted, be glad to help.
