I tried changing the thermostat but that didn't fix the problem.

Jamiem is correct. If you have recently done work on your coolant system you will need to bleed the system.
While the engine is cool, remove the radiator cap and start the engine. (do not do this with a hot engine!) As the engine warms up, the coolant level should drop twice. Each time it drops fill the coolant up again in the radiator. Once the engine has warmed up and your radiator is full shut it off and let it cool down. Replace the cap, let it warm up again and test the heat again.

Other things to check if this does not fix it is the heater control valve, the fuses (as mentioned, though I think you'd know if your blower motor wasn't working) and finally and hopefully not, the heater core itself.

SOURCE: My 98 Venture's heater only blows hot air at highway speeds. Replaced theremostat didn't fix problem

could be your cooling system plugged up, or airlocked. Usually if your heater core is getting plugged, it wont allow coolant through causing heat only when there is more pressure. If you have changed your thermostat, did you drain coolant off? If so, it may be the air lock, but it does sound like your heater core is getting bad. Do you ever hear a gargling sound after shutting vehicle off?. In some circumstances, it could also be your radiator getting bad, but you should be able to inspect the condition of that. Hope it helps.

It sounds like it is low on coolant. Maybe try taking a heater hose off to let air out as you add coolant. This is just a guess, not a surefire remedy. I know dodge trucks have to be blead to let the air out of the cooling system, haven't heard of it on your vehicle. But heck, it cost's nothing to try it. If it doesn't, you may need to replace the water pump. It may be wore out and only pumping enough water when the engine is revved up. That is most likely it.

I have no heat in my 2002 Dodge Stratus. I have changed the thermostat and flushed the heater core? What else could this be?

See if your library has a Stratus shop manual and check the heating system chapter. You didn't say if the engine was reaching operating temperature or not. If the engine is warm but you are not, I would say the problem is in the heat exchanger somewhere. If your engine is cold, you can't really expect the heater to get warm, now can you. Then you have a different problem to chase.

Lack of water on your floor means your heater core is not leaking. It could still be plugged somewhere. The fact that you get some heat initially, but it turns cold when you turn the fan on, sounds like a lack of adequate warm water to the heater core to me. If the engine is warm, it could be a circulation problem of some sort.

No heat in Ford Aerostar gage does not move. Heater core was flushed and new thermostat was put in

Just a guess, but I don't think you did this yourself. Take it back to the mechanic and complain.

You didn't say if this was the result of the flush and thermostat change or if you had the problem previously. I tend to think this is a thermostat problem still. It is possible the mechanic simply forgot to install the new thermostat (remote, but possible).

If you have no heat and the temperature guage is pegged cold, the engine is not reaching operating temperature. It is the thermostat's job to regulate this. Does the radiator get warm?

I would take it back to the mechanic if you trust him, or try another if you don't.

Temperature guage goes to high, but it doesn't appear that the van is overheating (no steam/fluid leaking) Radiator & thermostat were recently replaced. Guage will jump to high when idle, but...

FLUSH RADIATOR, HEATER CORE AND ENGINE BLOCK.ADD 50 / 50 ANTIFREEZE AND WATER ALSO REPLACE RADIATOR PRESSURE CAP.IF TEMPERATURE GAUGE STILL STAY HIGH THE ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR COULD BE FAULTY.

The van is overheating. I have replaced the relay switch, removed the thermostat, the water pump is working fine..but it has 2 fans. one, the one on the passenger side doesn't come on. I have no idea...

First of all, the passenger side fan is for AC, and should come on when AC is on or defrost. Secondly, if you didn't have the heater on when you refilled the cooling system after thermostat was changed, it may just be an airlock. Run engine from cool with heater on and let it run with cap off and top it up as it goes down. Let it run long enough for rad fan to come on and go off 2 or 3 times, and keep an eye on rad level and top it up a couple of inches from top each time it goes down. Then put rad cap back on and try it. Let me know if that helps.
