Where is the oil sending unit on a 1995 Buick Skylark 3.1 V6?

I can't find where the oil sending unit is. I know it's near the oil filter but I can't pinpoint it.

The pressure sending unit is located on the passenger side rear of the engine just above and slightly to the left of the filter and filter housing.

The error that I'm showing for error code P1133 is
P1133 Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) insufficient switching bank 1 sensor 1(Rear Bank).  I would suggest having both of your Oxygen Sensors replaced if you haven't already had that done.  Hope this helps.  Thanks for an honest rating and for using FixYa.

SOURCE: 1995 Buick Park Avenue when

These sending units are known to fail, a replacement is about $25. I had a Bonneville that did the same thing. The only real way to test it is to remove the electronic sending unit and test it with a manual gauge. In my case I had 40 psi of oil pressure with the manual gauge but the dash would read 5-10psi.

No oil pressure

Does the engine make a bad noise, like it is not getting oil? If not, I would try replacing the oil pressure switch. I have had to do this twice in the past three years that we have owned my wife's 02 Buick.

Will a 1995 Buick Skylark leak oil if the Oil Sending Unit is burnt or bad?

Yes the sending unit will leak oil if it's bad. It will leak where the electrical plug clicks into the unit. If you disconnect the plug and remove the unit, you can see on the plug end where the oil leaks thru.

96 buick skylark runs about 3 seconds then dies.whats wrong?

Fuel pumps don't slowly go out, they either work or they don't. I recommend replacing the mass air flow sensor, which is the square metal piece that's mounted in the middle of the big air tube that runs from the air filter housing to the intake. I replace the front head on mine and during the reassembly, I forgot to plug the wire back into the MAF sensor and had a similar problem. I would have it tested first if possible. If u have any other questions abt this car, feel free to send em to me directly, especially if yours has the 3.1 V6.

1995 buick lesabre limited, oil gauge issue

Could be two things, your oil pump pick tube is clog, oil pan would have to be drop to check, or your camshaft bearing worn causing low oil pressure,I would not say piston rod bearing or main bearing, cause there's no knock noise. You will have better oil pressure when cold due to oil much thicker. so I would forget about a bad oil pump.

I have a oil leak on my 1990 buick skylark 2.5 motor coming from the back side of the motor i replaced the oil pan gasket the sending unit what could it be and how can i find it

I've had the same problem on other GM V6 motors. You need to have the rear main seal replaced to fix the leak. GM was notorius for oil leaks in those motors since the mid-80's and never did anything to fix the problem.
