Mobil 1 is really thin,if you have as oil consumption
problem ,run a thicker oil,10-30 in the winter 15-40 in the summer
Suspect valve seals, not a cheap fix ,but a little oil burning makes the
engine last forever, run a thicker oil.

SOURCE: 93 camry v6 216,000 miles started buring oil after

try using thicker oil sounds like it has much engine wear and the thin oil is just slipping by the rings and burning with the fuel.also check your pcv valve if its bad it will allow engine to **** in oil and burn it with combustion.

I smell exaust and my accord is also buring oil

if engine is running bad, there is huge lethal Carbon Monoxide
present in exhaust, so keep this beast outside, and not park
in any snow banks.
and keep the non recirc, fan on , while in car. as a precaution.

now find a muffler shop and tell him/her, fix my exhaust holes.

adding oil . ./ is normal for all cars. faster you drive the more oil.
how much oil,? 1qt/3000 miles is ok, 1qt in 1000 is a ver tired/old engine.

on old cars, check oil every fill up. until you learn your rate of consumption..

I have a 2001 toyota corolla with 100,000 miles on it and it has been buring oil almost for a year now.It also smokes white smoke but only when i first start it up in the morning. It has got so bad that the...

Instead of the marvel oil I would change the oil and filter and add one quart of Lucas oil additive as it will help coat the cylinder walls and reduce the oil consumption. You may also want to replace the PCV valve on top of the valve cover as a sticky PCV valve could be causing internal pressure to build up in the engine and cause oil to leak past the piston rings.

Just a simple question: on a 2001 Galant with a 2.4 engine is the oil change interval 7500 miles under normal conditions?

You can go that long, but good ole 3000 miles is better insurance then 7500. If you are using a synthetic motor oil like Mobil 1 rated for that then yes it will be fine. If normal off the shelf is being used then every 3000.

Audi 1.8T sport Auto (2001) heavy smoke and engine buring smell

The engine could be shot, oil is being burnt off by the actions of being sucked into the bores via worn piston rings then ejected out of the exhaust

If you sent the car in for an MOT and a Service I would ask the garage what they did to it as the car would have failed on its emissions test if that much oil was coming out .

It could have been a fault on the oil pump or lack of oil in the first instance and maybe an overfill on the service

You paid your money now go back for redress

Black exhaust smoke only for the first 30 seconds,

you're buring oil, either through piston rings or leaky valve seals. definatley check your oil more regularly. if it starts using alot of oil, might want to take it in and get it fixed or trade it off.
