Brake light switch has power is there a relay or switch I am missing and were is it located

do you head lights work ok are your turn signals working the brake light go through the multifunction switch then to the brke lights also did you check the brake light switch for power going in and opperation

check to see if bulbs are good,then verify no voltage at bulbs,
check to see if your truck has has a tailor hitch and wiring installed.

Do the taillights work? If so it might just be the bulb. If not then the wiring is broke some where or loose.

Seeing that the problem is the same with both vehicles. It would be my hypothesis that the problem lies in the trailer light fixture itself. I would check the wires in light fixture with a test light, I bet there will be no power there. More than likely a ground issue.

The rear brake lamp is a whole module. Get the whole unit for left and right no after market one the pins are not always correct
