2000 Chevrolet Tracker How do you remove the transmission pan?

I have just purchased a 2000 Chevrolet 2000 Tracker 4x4 with an automatic transmission and the 2.0 engine. I am changing all the standard stuff (fluids, filters, tires, etc....) and have come across a problem. How do I remove the transmission pan. I have drained the transmission and have taken all the bolts around the pan out and it is now loose, but here is a tube of some sort or another that is attached to the pan and I am unsure how to disconnect it without damaging it.

Can anyone assist?

BTW thanks. I see now where the tube went. I had not seem a filler tube enter the side of the pan before like that.

    Thanks...

Where is the transmissin fluid plug on a 1990 geo tracker

Most of these do not have a transmission fluid drain plug if yours is an automatic. My 1995 did not have one and the entire pan had to be removed. Mine was a 4x4 so I had to disconnect the four bolts that holds the front drive shaft up just so I had enough room for the pan to come down. While I was in there, I removed the old transmission filter and there is a magnet in the bottom of the pan that catches metal shavings. Go ahead and clean all that out while your in there. Get you a transmission filter kit and it includes the new pan gasket. You can do this job with fairly basic tools and patience. Just take one corner of the pan loose at a time to allow most of the old transmission fluid to drain. My tracker didnt want to shift into second gear until it warmed up. I ran some Sea Foam brand transmission cleaner through it and then changed fluid and filter after driving a couple of days. Totally fixed my problem.

Cant find where to put transmission fluid in 2000 mitsubishi monterro sport 4x4 automatic

Take a look at the transmission oil pan. If you see two drain plugs than you have the trans without the dipstick. One of the plugs is actually the drain plug. The other one is the fill plug. More often than not When you go to remove the fill plug the nut on the inside of the pan breaks free from the pan casing the plug to just turn. The norm is to have to replace the pan anytime a service or fill is needed. If you have the trans with a dipstick than you can add the fluid through the dipstick tub with a small funnel.
