Inside trans. pan at the rear of the valve body. They have a wire clip which holds them in.

Your transmission is electronic, it read's the the speed sensor from the yoke and relay's the information to the ECM which tell's the servos in the transmission acivate to change the gears up or down with the engine out put.

My 2000 jimmy wont shift into 3rd or 4th and it reaches 3000 or more rpms. its an automatic transmission. someone said it could be speed sensors. where are they located.

Its more than likely a shift solenoid sticky causing this problem. Its located inside the transmission oil pan in the valvebody.

Where is the speed sensor located on a 93 jimmy 4.3 4x4 and is there any sensor on ****** that would be involved or cables?

The vehicle speed sensor(VSS)is located on left rear of transfer case on 4x4( 4wd) 1993 jimmy.Ensure ignition is off.Raise and support vehicle .Disconnect VSS electrical connector.Place a container under VSS mounting area, to catch transmission fluid when VSS is removed.---- On 4wd the VSS is threaded,un-thread VSS from transfer case. Then remove VSS and O-ring.Installation in reverse.--------- This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.

Where is shift actuator located on 1999 Jimmy 1999

I had the same problem with my 1999 Silverado which would blink several times on the mode I selected then go back to the 2 wheel High. I found the switch module to be defective, after replacing it I have never had the problem again.

2000 Jimmy giving me some problems.

The reason you engine over heats is the engine cooling fan(s) are not coming on. They run by a coolant sensor and a fan relay.
You may also want to make sure you have the proper amount of coolant in your system.

Is your Jimmy a push button 4x4, or do you have to pull a lever to shift to 4x4 ?
Please let me know so I can help guide you through either of these repairs.
