I have a 2007 Dodge Caliber with 48K miles on it & with the weather being 4-8 degree in the morning hours I have a hard time getting the car started?? It seems like it is not getting gas or maybe the cold cranking amps on the battery are not enough? Any ideas what this may be? Thanks

sorry I am not sure what you mean. I have not taken this into the dealer yet. It just started this week since it has been really cold. What does pcm mean? also tsb?

They make heaters for the battery, heater, oil pan, and block. and you might try a thinner oil depending on the temperatures. The heaters themselves run around $100 ( for all) and will last for years. Even a battery blanket will help pretty good. Again depends on your regular temperatures.

Won't crank it up

Cars sometimes just aren't designed to operate at negative temperatures. Are neighborhood vehicles cranking? Garaged or out in the open air?

2007 dodge caliber transmission is overheating: what is the possible cause?

Had the same overheating issue with mine @ 213,000 miles. I had had the fluid changed out by the dealer and the system flushed at 105,000. . . This time I did it myself, $ 142.00 for 2 gallons of cvt tran fluid from dealer, gasket & new filter from Summit racing (23.00). . . ****** take 7.50 qts. once drained ! Cur runs great now !

When do i get transmission check for my 2007 dodge caliber

I would recommend it being changed around 40,000 miles. It is a tad early, but it never hurts. Have the filter changed as well.

These code readers are 100% reliable. If you feel it is not getting enough fuel it means there is problem with the ignition. But the actual technical reason is that the timing controls the ignition of the car. If the timing is wrong the problem you are facing can surely happen.

2007 Dodge Caliber

Make sure you have a fully charged battery. When starting the car, push the gas pedal down to the floor to engage the choke. Then push pedal halfway down and turn the ignition. Try jump starting to see if it is the battery. If it still turns slow it may be a bad starter.

Dodge caliber oil viscosity

no it will not cause any harm over the corse of 3000 miles. 5w30 is just a little thicker. 5 is the thickness when oil is cold. 20 or 30 is thickness when oil i hot, it will be ok just dont do any hotroding. only down part is that if the dealer finds out it will void the warranty.
