Brakes are sticking and hesitating on take off. Heats up and then it gets worse as you barely tap to come to a stop.

Sounds like the brakes caliper pistons may be sticking...also if brakes are worn out...rotors and pads...many noises and symptoms will show up Hope this helps.

How do i replace rear brake pads? And check condition or rotors?

The piston brake pad assembly is usually held in place by two bolts that face the car. Remove these and tap the assembly off .Hang the assembly from a wire.remove the two larger bolts that hold the rest of the assembly in place and remove the rotor.I would simply replace the rotors with after market rather than bother with the old ones.Replace rotor and larger cage.taking carefull note remove the brake pads and compress the brake piston with a C clamp. They should push back with minimal resistance.Check all brake components at this time including the large pins the brake assembly move back and forth on. Install your new pads and replace all the bits.Good luck.P.S. A digital camera might be helpfull if you haven't done this kind of thing before

Do i really need to flush my transmission fluid and brake fluid on acura 2005 tl? if so when. thanks

If this has never been changed since new DON"T DO THIS!!! It seems that if older transmissions are serviced when old they will tend to slip.. It is a way the dealer gets more money from you in more than one way. ASK ANY TECH

I was quoted $275 to replace the rear brakes on my 2005 TSX. Is that a fair price? I have about 88k miles

That is pretty high. If they replaced the pads(using ceramic pads which are top of the line) replacing rotors and rear brake hardware kit, parts should be about $120 so that means $155 for labor when the job would only take about an hour at the most.

2005 Acura tl brake replacement

The Brembos that come on Type S/Manual models wear fast. I've changed them at 20,000 miles. They are expensive also.

Non-Type S/Manual models I have seen go 80,000 miles. The biggest factor on brake wear is how the vehicle is driven.

At 50,000 miles I would have them inspected. Depending on where you go, make sure you get an accurate measurement of both pads (inboard and outboard). 2mm is the service limit and about that time the indicators start making noise, but not always. Most indepent shops are going to sell you brake pads at 4mm. That's another 10,000 miles at least you could have driven on them.

Never replace just the brake pads, resurface or replace the rotors. The uneven surfaces of the rotor will cause your new pads to wear incorrectly and possibly cause brake noise. Most aftermarket pads will cause a squeel.
