Did you only check the truck fuse block in the cab? There is also a relay and fuse center under the hood that has a fuse for the radio

My stereo has to be manually turned off and it kills my battery now .. what wire have I got hooked up wrong.

the new RAD. has 2 power wires.
one is 12vdc memory wire.
2nd is main power to radio.
this 2nd wire must be connected to Ignition via a fuse
or use the correct wire, Dodge provided.
the service manual covers all wires.
sadly all 3 radios sold new the this car has only hot at all times power
for the digital radios only , yours radio is not like that.
so must be custom wired in for power.
the ignition accessory lug is best using and inline fuse. 5amps
electrically this is easy, physically , no so.
ever see a special fused pig tail TAP, that can be used to run a radio power.
F05 is a good fuse slot to use. it is power OFF key OFF
use an inline 15amp fuse here for total protection.

Car stereo not receiving power.

Sound system w/o amplifier. Not only check the fuses, check the fuse circuit for voltage, use a test lite. As you can see, one fuse is hot all the time, the other fuse goes hot with the key on. Also check ground wire, that wire color is black.

The power mirrors, interior light, and stereo does

There is a module built into the instrument panel that controls the interior lights. If that thing goes bad, you have to replace the entire instrument panel. Everyone always says check the fuses, of course you would have done that before running to your computer to ask a stranger what to do! The instrument panel is expensive, I hope thats not your problem, thats my problem. Good luck.

Lights on a 2001 ram 1500

Sounds like you blew a fuse or 2. Disconnect the socket you just replaced , replace any bad fuses and check. If it works, be sure you are hooking the new socket up correctly.
