I have tested the window motors and they are fine. If I supply direct power to the window switches, they operate normally but I cannot find power to the switches in the loom, so I am assuming this is controlled by a relay. Which one is it??( All fuses have been checked)
Often, power windows are run from a circuit breaker in the fuse panel. At the driver's door master switch you should have one hot powered wire, when key is on. And the ground wire for the power windows originates at the master switch and goes back into the cabin to a nearby ground. You may want to look at a wiring diagram of the power windows for your vehicle to see if it is like this. But you should be working at the master switch, and you should be looking for this hot wire, or it or the ground wire may be broken where the loom enters the door. I found a broken ground wire there on a Chrysler once-just like yours, no windows worked, but all motors did.

Sounds like your blower motor rheostat needs to be replaced. I'm about to replace mine for the second time. Fan just quits working altogether when the rheostat goes.
SOURCE: power window relay or control unit
Control unit (with MANY wires) is inside trunk on right side and there is a fuse box with 3 fuses at the "REAR"...assume trunk again...I have schematic only...remove the Control unit wire connectors and re-insert them to polish the contacts...

hi, i reocommend that you check the wiring harness in the drivers door around the hinge area where the wiring from the car goes into the door itself, sounds like you may have a broken cable.
Good luck Davelee.
SOURCE: window switch for driver control and passenger switch window
sounds like you have a passenger window motor problem. Try hitting the right door panel hard, down near the speaker opening and pushing the switch at the same time. If it moves, the motor windings are and needs to be replaced.
SOURCE: VW Polo 2000 1.4 16V Blowing fuse for Central locking / windows
car electrics are a nightmare. the car lights up when a door is open i presume. and by bypassing the central locking. the electric computer says there is a fault. and will not start. that i think is programed in. best thing to do is. go to phone VW dealer ask about diagnostic test without repair. about £35 then fix it yourself. they garentee it right I think. the dealers have come into line better with that kind of thing phone and ask anyway.

Power Window System Controls
The power window system will operate anytime the Retained Accessory Power (RAP) system is active or when the ignition switch is in the ACCY or ON position.
The driver master control switches are integrated into the DDS. When a power window switch is activated in the up or down positions the DDS supplies power and ground to the window motor control circuits to drive the window motor in the required direction. Prior to activating a power window motor the DDS will supply the control circuit with a low current bias voltage in order to determine that a short to ground condition does not exist and during window motor operation the DDS continues to monitor the motor current to verify proper window motor operation.
The DDS controls the passenger window by a serial message to the PDS. When a power window switch is activated in the up or down positions the PDS supplies power and ground to the window motor control circuits to drive the window motor in the required direction. Prior to activating a power window motor the PDS will supply the control circuit with a low current bias voltage in order to determine that a short to ground condition does not exist, and during window motor operation the PDS continues to monitor the motor current to verify proper window motor operation. (Scan tool support is available for this system
Check this circuit breaker
RETAINED ACCSRY PRW BRKR 30 amp. located in the left instrument panel fuse box . if the breaker is good check power B+ at the drivers door switch . connector 1 terminal b yellow wire . Sometimes the wires inside the rubber boot coming from body to door break .
