How to change oil in standard trasnmission in Ford Ranger 1997

Remove the fill plug before you do anything. If you can not remove the fill plug there is no reason to remove the drain plug since you will not be able to fill the transmission once the fluid is drained out.

Once the fill plug is out, remove the drain plug. Let oil drain into a drain pain. Reinstall the drain plug. Fill the transmission with the appropriate fluid until the fluid starts to drain from the fill hole. Reinstall the fill plug. Your good to go.
