My car has been starting slowly but now it wont even turn over....lights come on dash and dome no clicking sound nothing just wont start
SOURCE: my scion xb will not start up. when i try to start
Yes, it could be. If it is the original, it is 5 years old.
Before I bought a new one though, I would remove the negative battery cable, then clean both battery terminals and the clamp that goes on them.
With the battery negative still disconnected, you should trace both cables to their terminus, remove those and clean them too.
If that doesn't help, you can have your battery checked at any chain auto parts store.
Their tester will tell you quickly if the battery will accept a charge and function as it should.
BTW: If you have a password protected stereo or alarm system, you will need that to get them working again.

Hi.. Yes i fix my problem by disconecting the neutral suitch and reconecting it ,,they get dirty with time and dont make contact ,Is a good idea to disconect and clean as many contacts as you can and put some special grease on them to prevent other problems ...

the condition of the battery and connections are the first thing to check.

I couldn't really tell you if the noise you are describing is related but the first thing you need to do is find out what Trouble Codes your ECM (Computer) is giving you, that's why the Check Engine Light is on. Once you have the codes it will give us a better indication of where to look. You will need to hookup a OBD II Scanner (On-Board Diagnostic) to you Diagnostic Port located under your driver's side dash panel. Once you retric=ve the Trouble Code out of the Computer you can start pin-pointing what the problem is.
I will tell you it most likely is related and has to do with your Trans-axle (Transmission), maybe a bad soleniod or a bad sensor. You can have the codes retrieved at no charge from most Auto-Zones, O'Reilly Auto parts, Pep Boys, Aamco Transmissions and there may be other shops may do it for you for no charge.
