2003 KIA HAS RAN GREAT UNTIL TODAY. FILLED THE TANK THEN CAR STARTED CHOKING OUT, DYING, RESTARTED THEN DIED. UPON ACCELERATION WE NOTICED BLACK SOOT AND WATER LEAKING FROM TAILPIPE
It sounds like you may have gotten a Tank of Contaminated Fuel. Try to Run a Can of B12 Chemtool through the Fuel Tank and see if it will not Clear up. You can get the B12 Chemtool at Wal-Mart in the Automotive Section or at Your Local Autoi Parts Store.

I have seen several questions from people tonite whose car started running bad after getting gas. Try putting some water remover and or octane booster in the tank. I can't guarantee this will work, but it is the cheapest and easiest solution to start with. Next would be the fuel filter, and a tune up after that. Hope this helps.
Sounds like a catalytic converter problem. Driving through deep water can damage. See if you have exhaust flow at the tailpipe. The A/C is most likely low on Freon.
After it cools down, make sure the coolant level if full. Check everything over for leaks, replace the thermostat (they are inexpensive and it's faster and easier to replace rather than testing). Check the fans to make sure they are coming on when needed.
If you still have a problem, check that the radiator is unobstructed (outside and inside) and that your head gasket(s) have not failed (testing generally done as a hydrocarbon test of cooling system) fast check is the presence of white smoke from tailpipe that does not stop.
Sounds like you have bad gas. It can get strong mix of gas to give you the right idle, but when it has water mix, it will cause the car to fire like it should. This will then give you a low, rough, or just cutting off idle. Try mixing water remover in with the gas. You may have to drain the gas out or just drive it like it is until the tank is almost empty. Fill up with gas (from a different store) and you may want to change the plugs after the good gas is through the system. I'm not saying the plugs are bad, but there may be a lot of moisture beads from the water sitting causing rust.
HI. It is normal for a car to drip some fluid out of the tailpipe when first started and for several minutes after, as well. The fluid is condensation (water) that occurs. Sometimes, it can pick up some black soot from the tailpipe, which would give it a dark color. This is not a problem.
black soot is a running rich condition it's getting to much gas not enough air .. 14-1 ratio air to gas your carb rebuild needs to be rechecked for sticking float..
This code is most likely not related to the problem, it sounds like you may have picked up some contaminated gasoline, maybe has water in it or other like dirt.
