The van started fine all day yesterday and i go to start the van today and it puts and i turned it off and i try to start it again and it wont stay started inless you press on the gas but it still putts and sounds like its ganna die and blows smoke out the back when u hold down on the gas i have no clue whats wrong it started fine tell i tryed to start it today
I just ran out gas put some in and it will not start and there no gas in the rack for the injector 1996 dodge caravan cranked and cranked on the motor no lucky is there a trick to priming them

Hate to tell you this... it does sound like a blown head gasket

I am sorry but it doesnt sound like a blown head gasket a blown head gasket would be blowing out blue smoke out the exhaust. This sounds more like fouled spark plugs as plugs can be triky 1 minute there fine next you try to start it and there bad. This is where i would start though.

How could the head gasket got blown. It ran Fine all this time. And its could here and then i go to start it this morning and it turns over and start but puts really bad. then i take my foot off the gas and it dies.
