SOURCE: truck starts but won't stay running

You may have a problem with the contacts in the ignition switch (not key part), when you crank the engine a signal is sent to the fuel pump to run, when it starts and you let off the key another set of contacts keeps the pump getting power Through a relay), these are known as crank and run modes.

SOURCE: ECM BATT fuse keeps blowing

That fuse provides power for the fuel pump. Either your fuel pump is blowing the fuse or there is a shorted wire.

SOURCE: im have a 40 watt fuse that blows when i start my truck occasiona

It could be either the ignition switch, clutch safety switch(if applicacle)or the starter solenoid,I'm including the circuit diagram for you,one of the 2 or three if it's manual trans has short,if the fuse is blowing as soon as you turn the key on(not engaging the starter)it will be in the switch itself or the clutch safety switch. If it happens when you go to engage the starter it's most likely the solenoid.

I have a 2004 chevy surban that keeps blowing the ignition fuse what can cause this

You have a direct short to ground on that power feed circuit . You need to find a power distribution diagram to see what all gets is power from that fuse . Isolate the circuits till the fuse doesn't blow any more , then trace out that circuit that blows the fuse .

Which Ignition fuse ? Which fuse box is it in ? under hood , passenger compartment ?

Ford 99 Taurus ignition fuse keeps blowing every time key is turned

A bad something, yes.
The fuse may be the primary fuse for the key switch. If it is, you would need to disconnect the key switch harness and check for a short to ground on each circuit.

I have a 2003 mitsubishi lancer. Everytime I try to turn my key from the ignition to start my car my fuse 4 (40A) blows up I replaced it twice but the new fuse just keeps blowing up:/ what's going on?...

There is a major electrical fault that keeps blowing the fuse. The fuse protects that part of the electrical circuit, 40 amps is heavy electrical circuit, it it wasn't protected by a fuse it car could catch on fire.
You need to get an auto electrician or your Mitsubishi service center to locate the fault and repair.
If you had a wiring diagram for your car then you can trace the wiring from the 40A fuse to the various components to locate the wiring fault or component fault.

I'm no expert but when you turn key to run position, this turns the fuel pump on if the pump is faulty i would think it would blow the fuse also. Or its your theory a short in the ignition system wiring.

When key is turned to on position, keeps blowing 30 amp fuse

It sounds like you have a short in some wiresets. Check the wires directly connected to the ignition. If this persists, without any problems with wires, I suggest checking the amperage and voltage on your battery to make sure they are at operational levels. Anything over 14.8 volts and you start to fry electrical components and... blow fuses.

2000 Grand Voyager blowing the ignition fuse

Was the old fuel pump bad? It might be worth the cost to replace the ignition switch. The wires to the fuel pump would be a second guess if the old pump was bad and burnt the wires before the fuse went. When you eliminated the fuel pump you also eliminated the wires to the pump and it started. Then you replaced the pump, but not the wires. The ignition switch is the other end of the circuit.

30 amp ignition fuse in engine compartment blows at start

It sounds like a bad ignition switch or something is grounding out.Try to isolate the problem to key positions.See if the fuse blows when you turn the key to ACC(when your dash lights come on without starting)If the fuse does not blow then when you go to start it and it blows it could be one of many problems, the more common ones could be ignition switch, wiring, starter relay, starter soleniod,or perhaps the starter itself is shorting out, this can sometimes happen when a starter goes bad.
