Car starts but runs rough. No response from accelerator. No power. Starts to emit strong smokey emissions after continuous starting attempts. Eventually it clears. Taking longer to clear every time.
Have your fuel pressure checked it maybe your fuel pump or a bad fuel filter or fuel regulator

Fixed!!! no fault codes stored and would start then cut out with puffs of white smoke and strong unburnt diesel smell like it was fuel related(Sometimes it would even run but not rev up correctly).. Checked fuel system and crank sensor (OK) but disconnected EGR valve 2 pin connector and started first turn!!Removed EGR and cleaned (Runs perfect) but replacement ordered.. Hope this save´s someone time and money :) !

I just took my 2006 Tucson in to have this fixed. It was simply that that hose from the air filter was not clamped on tight. That was 2 days ago, no more problem.

Purge control solenoid valve is suspect. After refueling, the charcoal canister can become 'saturated' and this valve (if stuck OPEN) sucks air through it and can draw raw fuel into the intake manifold creating a 'flood' condition.

Waterpump, seems like a likley culprit. Your Ac compressor belt runs over your water pump. when the ac is on it puts more load on your engine , your water pump may be defected and not able to handle the extra load.
