My Honda Accord wont start even with a jump. The lights come on but wont turn over. No click, no sound, no nothing

Every now and then I would have to turn the key more than once. Recently the battery was corroded, but I cleaned the posts. It was running fine and none of the indicator lights came on. Last night I drove only 1/2 mile to the store, when I came out, it wouldnt start even with a jump. When I turn the key, the dash and other lights come on even the stereo. But the motor wont turn over at all.

with the headlights on , try to start vehicle if the headlights dim then there is usually power to the starter,if not check for a starter fuse and a relay and verify both are good. If both are good try moving the shifter from park to neutral while holding the key in the crank position , or fully depressing the clutch if it is a standard. These are simple checks that require no tools but will help narrow down the problem. Using a test light, check for power at the ignition wire on the starter while some one cranks the engine over,if there is power then , then you may have a poor ground or positive connection at the starter, or the starter is defective. Hope this helps

IT's those short drives that burn down a battery! The starting of an engine requires mucho electric to get it running. The alternator then charges the battery, but slowly! If you also have the lights and stereo on it is even slower. Get the battery FULLY charged with a commercial battery charger. Then check to see if the alternator is charging up the battery after you start it. If not, replace the alternator. If the battery dies overnight or in a few days...replace the battery.

I have seen issues like this on other Honda's and the problem turned out to be the ignition starter switch. Do this, jumper power directly to the starter solenoid trigger wire and see if the engine cranks.

2006 honda accord wont start. nothing happens when i turn it on, just a click. radio, lights and door chime work.vehicle will not jump start

First make sure the shift lever is properly in the park position. Hondas tend to have little problem in that area after a few years.
Second make sure battery terminals are clean and secure. Next you should try jumping the battery. A low battery may produce enough electricity to run the radio, lights, chimes etc but not enough to crank engine.

1997 Honda Accord, 4 cyl, auto trans. When I turn

The starter sit on top I belive on the passenger side above the transmission, have some one hold the key to start while you tap or even hit the starter some time it will crank over if it does replace it, not that big of a job. If it still dont start there a big wire that one comes from the battery and a small one that come from you ignition switch ( key ) jump those two wire's ( if stander transmission make sure you have it out of gear ) there should be voltage at big wire all the time, if it still dont crank over replace starter assembly.Hope this was very helpful.

Hi
Try to jump start the car.
Put the jump leads on and leave it for 10 mins
that will charge the battery up
then try and start.
