SOURCE: location of the egr sensor on 2000 ford ranger

The EGR pressure sensor is located within inches of the EGR valve. The exact location varies depending on the engine (2.5L, 3.0L or 4.0L). It is usually attached to the upper intake manifold with two small bolts.

SOURCE: where is the pcv valve located on a 2003 ford ranger

  • The PCV valve can be located in several places. The most common location is in a rubber grommet in the valve cover. It can be installed in the middle of the hose connections, as well as installed directly in the intake manifold.
  • Once the PCV valve is located, make sure all the PCV system hoses are properly connected and that they have no breaks or cracks.
  • Remove the air cleaner and inspect the air and crankcase filters. Crankcase blowby can clog these with oil. Clean or replace such filters.
  • Oil in the air cleaner assembly indicates that the PCV valve or hoses are plugged.
  • Make sure you check these and replace the valve and clean the hoses and air cleaner assembly.
  • When the PCV valve and hose are in satisfactory condition and there is oil in the air cleaner assembly, perform a cylinder compression test to check for worn cylinders and piston rings.

    SOURCE: egr valve replacemebt

It's bolted onto the intake, next to the throttle body. If you look into the engine compartment and see the oil dipstick, look up and to the right. It will have a steel tube coming up to it from the exhaust. Why do you want to replace it? They rarely fail. EGR problems (codes) on Fords are usually caused by the Differential pressure feedback sensor.

My 2006 Ford Ranger w/ 3.0 v6 vhexk engine lite is on . My mechanic says his machine that he plugs in says its the egr valve but he says 2006 doesnt have one . Whats the correct answer?

I went google and typed in-- location of egr valve on ford 3L v6 engine 2006--- and got pages showing exactly where it is
the model that the engine is doesn't really matter as it is the assembled engine that has the egr valve, so 3L v6 engine will have one regardless if it is a ranger , taurus or what ever.
part number is 18734-05059775 and has a listed price of $52.33
    ( parts geek.com)
another point is that with every code there are several causes for a code number
I might suggest an accredited service center with experience on your make of vehicle might be a better place to go

Where is the egr valve on a 99 Ford expedition

The EGR valve is in a very difficult spot to work on. If the EGR is bad it will set off the check engine light and make the vehicle run rough or stall at idle. It really doesn't make it run rough while driving or accelerating. What are the conditions when the car runs rough?

Either code 4000 or 1400 on 2002 ford ranger 4.0 ltr v6. the right code should equate to the egr valve. I have replaced the egr valve but check engine light comes on again after reset showing same code.

code p1400 is a DPF EGR sensor CIRCUIT LOW VOLTAGE detected. most likely is a problem with the wiring to the egr or dpfe sensor. the pinpoint tests for code p1400 instruct you to test all wiring before replaceing the egr or dpfe sensor

Where is the egr valve located on a 1994 Ranger 4.0L V6?

If your ranger has a egr valve it will be on the driver's side of the upper intake plenum (the top aluminum housing, very top of the motor) and about centered on the plenum.in 1994 I have seen Rangers with and without a egr valve. I believe it depends on if its California emissions or not.

Need location of the erg sensor 2000 ford ranger

The egr valve has two sensors. One is an EGR position sensor which is physically attached to the EGR valve. The other sensor is the DPFE (Delta Pressure Feedback EGR) sensor, commonly called the EGR pressure sensor. It's location varies depending on the engine you have. You can fine this sensor by following the vacuum hose on the EGR valve. It will be with in inches of the EGR valve. The sensor will be black (plastic) or silver (metal), have two or three vacuum ports and an electrical connection on it.

The vacuum pressure sensor is a high failure item on fords. Any Ford parts department will have one in stock, as well as some aftermarket parts stores.

The new sensor may not look exactly the same as the old part, but will have all the hook ups as the old one. You may also need to replace the vacuum hose to the sensor as well
