Try this, press and hold the large button on your key fob,after 20 seconds press the small button while still pressing the large one, the led light will go out and will reset your remote. It worked for me. ray1297

Had same trouble with my 406, fixing no problem, with new battery in fob, insert into ignition, turn key, BUT DO NOT START ENGINE, hold button for about 10 seconds release button and remove key from ignition, then try and see if doors lock on remote, if not try again, had to do this a couple of times, and it worked, sorry to say that now my key fob button has completely fell apart, through ware and tare

In other words the charging system is not keeping the battery fully charged. You can recharge the battery yourself and see if it will hold a charge and if not replace it yourself or take it to an automotive shop and have them test it for you.However it could be a bad Alternator causing the battery problem or the battery clamps may be corrowded and in need of a good cleaning.You could also check the Alternator Voltage output, if you have the right equipment and know how.
