SOURCE: 1984 S10 wiper arms

No Problem! Look down on the Bottom of the Wiper Arm, wher it attaches and Swivels. There is a Small tab that comes off of the Upper Part of the Arm that looks like Two Front Teeth Sticking up just a Little. Take a Pair of Pliers and Pull this Tab Up Towards the Top of the Winshield to Release the Lock on the Arm. then take a Pair of Pliers with Tape on them so that you will not Scratch the Arm and Pull while you Wiggle the Arm right at the Swivel Pont and they will Come off. Please Rate my Response, I need all the Help That I can Get! Thanks!

How to remove wiper arm from 1979 Chevy van

If there is a screw on the top of the wiper arm remove it and pry up on the arm and it will come off the gear as it is pressed on. Hope this helps. To reinstall just line up the gear spline and tap down to seat the arm.

I have a 92 chevy S10 truck, how do you remove the wiper blades and arms?

GM S10/S15/Sonoma Pick-Ups 1982-1993 Repair Manual Blade and Arm - REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
(see Figures 1, 2 and 3)
  1. Matchmark the base of the wiper arm to the linkage. This will assure the arm is installed in the proper position. If the arm is being replaced, transfer the matchmark from the old component to the new one before installation. This can be done by placing the new arm on top of the old one and copying the mark.

Fig. 2: If no wiper arm tool is available, use a small prytool to depress the spring

Fig. 3: With the spring released, pull the wiper arm from the linkage
  1. Most wiper arms are retained by a spring clip. Some are equipped with a release tab at the center which should be depressed to release the arm. If no tab is provided, use a small prybar or a wiper arm removal tool such as J-8966 to depress the spring and release the arm. Remove the arm from the vehicle.
  2. Some late model vehicles (all 1993 and some earlier models) are equipped with a wiper arm that utilizes a small release hole at the base of the wiper arm. If equipped, insert a 1 / 8 in. drift pin into the tool access hole to release the locking device and allow the arm to be easily pulled from the transmission. If necessary, use a gentle rocking motion to remove the arm.
To install:
  1. Except for late model vehicles equipped with the tool access hole, align the matchmarks and gently press the blade over the linkage and snap into position.
  2. For 1993 vehicles (and earlier models equipped with the access hole on the arm) straighten the arm assembly and insert the pin. Align the arm with the linkage mark made earlier, then press down on the arm's head casting until it seats and locks onto the wiper pin. Remove the drift pin.
  3. Operate the wipers and verify proper alignment.

Hope helps (remember rated this).

When I turn on the windshield wipers they travel too far hitting the windshild pillar(top) and the the cowl(bottom).

The wipers are not installed correctly. Remove and reposition the wiper arms ,so they do not hit the side of the outside window pillar, when set to high speed.

How do you remove the windshield wiper arms

The wiper arms have a push in tab at the very bottom at the fitting that is pressed into the wiper linkage below the screen. Use a flat headed screwdriver to pry out the tab. Once out the arm can be pulled right off. Now you can remove the cowling screen

Windshield wipers

You might have a stripped wiper arm spline. Check it by seeing if it moves with your hand. Also check wiper arm connection under the black plastic unscrew and remove black plastic.

i don't know what you mean by stripped, but iam gessing you mean it won't stay on the windshild when it wipes. have you tride another blade? if not i would try that first. if that dosent work you may have to try another wiper arm. all wipers will do what yours is doing when conditions are just right. you can minamise this problem maybe with a double wiper blade. hope this will help.
