Front screen demister on Audi Avant A4 2004

yes it is damaged
find a shop and get it inspected
there are bad parts, sure but even damaged (like cracks)
want a wheel to fly off at 100kmh or worse.
what country is the car, ?
bent shocks or struts

this car has ball joints+ coil + A-arm suspension and 1 strut
per side
so my guess is the STUTS were both destroyed.
no really safe to drive at all like that.

If you set the temperature to a high temperature when demisting, it should still provide heated air, just not through the dash vents aimed at you. Is that not sufficient? Does your car has seat heaters?

Replace the switch. It has lost connection to the up position.

check or replace the blower relay, located under the dash panel RH side.

buy a fan resistor this usually does the trick but you must locate it it is usually under dash on passenger side look for the plug going into it

Check the plenum door motors (vacuum controllers). When you move control you should see each of them move. the one that does not respond is the one that isn't working. Check hose that feeds it as well if no vacuum there switch control is bad.)

EASY FIX HAD SAME PROBLEM WITH MY AUDI A4 2002 JUST LAST WEEK.....WILL BE ONE OF THE CONTROL MOTORS FOR AIR FLOW...UNSCREW THE 4 OR 5 SCREWS THAT HOLD THE GLOVEBOX IN PLACE TAKE CARE TO UNPLUG GLOVEBOX LIGHT WHEN LIFTING OUT...NOW YOU WILL SEE ALL THE CONTROL MOTORS RIGHT-HAND SIDE OF YOU...EACH ONE CHANGES THE AIR FLOW ...THE ONE FOR THE WINDSCREEN IS THE ONE NEAREST TO THE FRONT OF THE CAR..UNPLUG THE WIRING CONNECTOR UNDO THE 2 SCREWS NOTING HOW THE MOTOR SHAFT ENGAGES...EASY....IF YOUR UNSURE WHICH CONTROL MOTOR IT IS TURN ON YOUR BLOWERS AND TEST EACH ONE..SIDE VENTS, DEMISTER,ETC...TRY AND GET A SECONDHAND CONTROL MOTOR FROM SCRAP YARD...DEALERSHIP PRICES JUST A JOKE.. FOR A CHEAP TINY MOTOR NOT MUCH BIGGER THAN A MATCH BOX OVER A £100 SCRAP YARD £5 POUNDS...........HOPE THIS WILL BE OF SOME HELP TO YOU...

there is some mositer in the vents of the car i think there may be a leak letting water in to a vent on your dash fixleak then find the water in the duct work of the car then drain then let it dry

There are seperate blowers for the front and rear air. It is most likely either your blower motor or the resistor, both located under the passenger side dash. I got a blower from a salvage yard for $25, But ended up having to get the resister from the dealership for about $130. Hope this helps.
