Airbag light goes off when passanger seat in use, & on when not

I just fitted leather interior from a wrecked 06 into my 05 durango. I exchanged the sensors as we found out that the wrecked sensors need to be recalibrated. Now when I have a passenger the air bag light goes out and stays out, As soon as the passenger gets out, the light comes on, when they get back on the seat the light goes off. Help!

I have a 2006 durango. The airbag light goes off and on as a sensor of weight. Depending on how much weight you have in the seat. So if someone that is a light weight is in front, the airbag wont go off, as a saftey precaution for children and babies. Thats what I was told.

Even with exchanging the sensor the calibration could be off. without pulling codes from the airbag system it would be hard to guess for sure but id say you need to have the dealership do a recalibration on the seat

2001 pontiac grand am air bag module reset

Yes!!! You can replace it yourself.(Dont let others fool you into paying extra or telling you otherwise.)
-This is for pontiac grand ams 1999-2005 only.
-There are no frontal airbag impact sensors nor are there belt tensioners.
-The SRS system consists of only the (driver airbag) ,(passanger airbag),and the (airbag control module) in 1999-2005 grand ams.

If you crash/wrecked and airbags deployed you will need.
-Driver and Passanger airbags
-Airbag control module

You can buy cheap airbags from a local junkyard any year from 1999-2005 will fit.
You can also find an airbag control module for cheap at your local junk yard BUT YOU MUST FIND ONE WITH THE SAME (PART NO.) AND (SERV NO.) AS THE ONE YOUR REPLACING.The (part no.) and (serv no.) should be at top left of airbag control module. However it does (Not) have to match numbers under barcode or the numbers at the far bottom right of airbag control module.

After you get both airbags and airbag module
-Disconnect car Battery
-Replace airbags
-Replace airbag module (under passanger seat)
-Double check all connections and connect battery.

Congradulations!Your airbags should be back online.

Notes: Two torx 35 head screws hold the driver airbag, access is through two holes behind steering column.
To remove passanger airbag you have to remove glovebox it uses (7mm)screws.After you remove you will see a pair of (10mm)screws holding airbag.
To remove airbag control module First remove passanger seat 2(15mm).Then after removing you will notice a raises area kinda like a vertical bump.Take a razor blade to your carpet and cut it to explose the module underneath.
The airbag module is held by three screws depending on the year of your car it varies. Most likely 3 (10mm).

2004 jeep liberty limited 4x4 airbag light goes on when you start the car then goes off for a few seconds then comes back on . both dash light and grab handle lights do this

The most probable reason for the code is the battery being dead for a while, there is a capacitor in the airbag circuit to make sure the airbag can go off in a collision even if the battery disconnects itself in the process. There is a slim chance it might be something else but either way the shop should be able to tell you what the problem is, and get it fixed; sometimes, scanner reader could helpfull to know exactly what fault code is stored there. keep in mind that this isnt an OBD codes reader, this is more specific for Airbag Systems.

Also, isnt rare to know that the airbag warning light is indicating the airbag(s) may not be functionig. As it says in the manual, "Ignoring the AIRBAG warning light in your instrument panel could mean you won't have the airbags to protect you, (or your passangers), in a collision...have the airbag system checked right away". Always wear your seatbelt. On 2004 there is a light on the passanger grab bar that indicates the passanger airbag is off. This happens when a child is in the seat to protect the child from the sudden force of an airbag. It can also be fooled by a package or briefcase on the seat. This is normal. When an adult sits on the passanger side the light should go off. This information was an addition to the 2004 manual.

Check THIS ARTICLE for additional details.

Hope this helps.

I have a 2010 Honda accord v6 leather beige interior. It gets dirty, so if I buy seat covers for my car, can I will feel my seat warmer through my seat covers?

you can fit covers BUT any dust that gets between the cloth and the leather will act like a scourer and take the shine/laquer off, making it even harder to clean in the future.use "simple"(unperfumed)soap to clean the leather, and wipe with a damp cloth after.

A light that looks like an engine is on in the top left side and a passanger with an airbag and seatbelt on on the right. v6 engine

The check engine light will always be on till the engine starts if it is still on while it is running then you need to have it checked out. They will pull codes and define the reason for the light.
If the check engine light is blinking STOP driving the vehicle.
Try buckling the passenger seat belt and see if it goes out.
Further diagnostic would be nessessary regarding the airbag light unless you have a shutoff capability for the passenger front seat and determine if the light is in regards to the airbag being in the on or off position.
Good luck, hope this helps

How can i disable passanger air bag on 1999 z3

It's never a great idea to dis connect any safety feature on a vehicle. But should you wish to do so here are two possible options. BMW may have a key operated switch (usually ignition) to disarm the passanger side airbag (usually in the case of rear facing child seat being fitted) OR if you manually disconnect the airbag (NOT reccommended) you will have to insert a resistance into the passanger bag circuit of equivelant to the air bag that was removed. In order to maintain the self diagnosis check system.

Hyundai Getz - Passanger airbag or not...

If it says "airbag" on the stering wheel AND on the dash in front of the passenger, then it has a passengers side airbag.
Children are much safer in the back seat in the event of a collision.

Seats (grey/leather) -1995 900 Turbo SE

Neoprene two tone seat covers are available at State of Nine but are pricey. You can spend about $250 and perform a DIY leather repair and dye job to the entire interior. Here is what I did, using leather cream crack filler and auto leather dye. It lasts about three years and then requires touching up.
