Most of the times it is the EGR sensor that has gone bad. It is located in the back right side by the throttle body. You will see a hose that runs from the top of your EGR to the sensor. On your Dodge it is VERY eay to replace.

What is the fix for (egr flow sensor a) on 2007 dodge hemi? This code came up when light came on.

It is probably the EGR valve itself. I would remove the valve and check the lines coming off of it to make sure it is not clogged. If that checks out ok then I would replace the EGR Valve and then clear the code with a scan tool.

2005 ram hemi, code is P0406

Check the voltage at the EGR solenoid and ground. Remove the EGR valve and clean the carbon buildup out of it or replace it altogether. A new EGR valve will run you about $60 from the dealer.

The EGR on my 05 Hemi Durango is located on the passenger side front of the engine near the head.

Have a 2005 dodge ram with 5.7 hemi has an eng

Dodge/Chrysler EGR valves are known to be unreliable. The one on my wife's 05 Grand Caravan died in the 40k miles range.

They are not really serviceable. The usual fix is replacement. Part will be between $50 and $150 depending on where you get it. Installation most of the time is 2-4 bolts and the harness.

How to clear P0406 code after EGR replacement in o5 dodge hemi

You need the DRB3 or better to do that. Only really good shops or the dealer(if there's any left) can do this.

CODE P0406 APEARS '04 DODGE HEMI

P0406 is the EGR valve. It sits on the right front of the engine. Just remove the two bolts on the tube and the two bolts on the valve itself and there you go. Reset the lamp with a scan tool or by disconnecting the battery for a couple minutes and retest.
