SOURCE: Replacing Blower Motor Resistor

  1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
  2. Open the glove box.
  3. Flex both sides of the glove box bin inward near the top far enough for the rubber glove box stop bumpers to clear the sides of the glove box opening, then roll the glove box downward.
  4. Reach through the glove box opening to access and disconnect the instrument panel wire harness connector for the blower motor resistor from the resistor connector receptacle (Blower Motor Resistor).
  5. Reach through the glove box opening to access and disconnect the blower motor pigtail wire connector from the resistor connector receptacle.
  6. Remove the two screws that secure the blower motor resistor to the evaporator housing.

SOURCE: Blower motor vent selection switch not working

the hvac selector switch in the dash may be the problem. You need to remove the switch and look at the connector on the back of switch, see if there are any burnt wires at the connector or switch. It's all electronic and the switches have been known to burn out on this and other model.

SOURCE: 04 Chevy Tahoe Climate control issues.

HVAC control head problem or it is the air Temp Control Valve problem. THe control head is the one with the buttons and knobs and the control vavle is located on the HVAC carrier assembly underneath dashboard (two of them one on left and one on right in center). This is a job for someone who has knowledge of HVAC and electrical on a GM vehicle.

Have you tried smacking the blower motor? If it starts running after you hit it, replace it.

'94 Silverado heat/ac fan not blowing. Hear clicking when selecting l,m, and high but not blowing

94 CHEVY Silverado ????,heat/ac fan not blowing. K1500?????? Hear clicking when selecting l'm, SET high but not blowing! WITH AIR OR NO A/C? FIRST IS FUSES, MAKE SURE THE BLOWER FUSE IS NOT BLOWN.
EASY NO? CHECK ALL FUSES FIRST. ON ALL ELECTRICS FAILING OF ANY KIND.
BAD FUSE, BAD WIRINIG , BAD CONNECTIONS. OR EVEN BAD RELAYS TO THE BLOWER OR BAD SWITCH BLOW.
THE OLD CARS , HAD A SPEED BLOW , RESISTOR BLOCK
THAT FAILS ON ALL SPEEDS BUT HIGH, SO ITS NOT THAT.
OWN A VOLT METER????
HERE IT IS, ANY OF THIS CAN FAIL THIS OLD
WE USES A VOLTMETER TO FIND THE POINT OF FAILURE.
A SHORTED BLOWER MOTOR CAN BLOW LEFT SIDE TOP
FUSABLE LINK.RIGHT FUSE BLOWN MAKES THE CONTROLLER DEAD.

No air coming out of vents

On Top of your Blower Motor is a Resister that has gone bad. Most Blower Motors now have the Resister built to the Blower Motor itself but some are serviceable. Before you remove and replace the Blower, test the Power that is getting to the Motor. If the power is getting there, then you have an easy fix... The Power will be variable when you change the SPEED SELECTED (that is another test).

Sentra AC

There's a 10amp fuse that powers the ac clutch relay and compressor. There are 15amp fuses that power the blower motor and the ac control switch. All of those fuses get power from the key switch. The resistor and fan switch provide the ground circuit for the blower motor.
I would want to know if those fuses are getting power, and if the control panel is working. You should be able to ground the blower motor and make it run on high, and that should not have any effect on if the ac compressor is running or not.
It could be a key switch problem in that the circuit is not strong enough to handle the load from the blower and the compressor at the same time.

2006 Dodge Ram 1500 with hemi. AC intermittently stops blowing

Sounds like the blower motor or the connection to it is failing.Next time it stops give the area below the glove compartment a good whack,if the blower does anything, change it.

I have a 94 acura integra ls & now air is coming out of the vents

Check all of the fuses related to the air conditioning. That is where I would start. Normally the AC has its own set of fuses and relays.

1989 mercedes 190e blower motor and vents not working properly

Probably two separate problems.
For the blower motor, it may be that the bearings are getting old and so the motor is getting harder to turn and overheating. A way to check is to take the motor out (it will be tucked in behind the glovebox. Pour a tablespoon of motor oil into the vents next to the shaft and work it back and forth to loosen it up. Then put the motor back in and try it. If I'm right, the motor will work normally again. However, this is only temporary--once the oil gets worn off the bearings in a while it will start quitting again. You should order a replacement before it blows your resistor block or (in the worst case) starts a fire. You can get them online, like from autopartswarehouse.com

I would suggest changing the control head. You should be able to source a used unit from a local salvage yard.
