I have a 1997 jeep grand Cherokee that the heat only works on defrost. it will not switch to vent or bottom heat. the AC works fine and it works fine on high and low range.-thanks allot Rick.
I have a 97 Jeep, I love it but it can be a royal pain in the ***, had this problem however and a cheap cheap fix, had a hole in one of the hoses that was going to my vent. Once you find that little pesky hose you can go to any automotive repair place and get a replacement for like less than a buck and if your lucky like me they will give it to you for free!!!!!!

I have a 1996 Jeep Cherokee Sport and I'm having the same problem, my heater is stuck on the Defrost setting but I can get the A/C to blow cold air.
