Try looking up under the dash just above the brake pedal. If you still can't find it turn on the 4 ways because turn signal and 4 ways use the same flasher on that model. You should be able to hear it clicking. Good luck.

SOURCE: Where is the camshaft position sensor located-99 Chevy Lumina 3.1

It's held down by one bolt right above the timing chain cover. It's next to the head that's facing toward the front of the car.

Had the same issue in the spring. Replace the turn signal switch. A general weakness in the switch in these years. Replacement solved the problem in my 97 Lumina.

I have a 1997 Chevy Lumina and the turn signals do not work. The hazards work, but can't see the lights on the dashboard. Also the horn does not work.

Question edited for a lot more clarity.
Question moved to model category.

It might be the flasher relay and it might be the horn relay although horns tend to seize up through lack of use. the flasher relay is is separate to the Hazards relay which is often part of the switch.

Where is the turn signal relay?

he Flasher Relay for the 98 Lumina Sedan, (and all 97-03 GM W-Bodys,) is located under the dash! It's directly above the Brake Pedal. It's a ways up there! When you look up there you'll see where the steering column passes through the firewall, and a lot of wires in that area. You'll need to carefully make your way through the wires, it was easier for me to fit my hand through the passenger side if the column. There's another cluster of wires above them, where I found it! The Flasher Relay is a rectangle approximately 1"x1"x1.5". You'll just have to reach in and feel for it!
The Flasher Relay controls the Turn Signals as well as the Hazards. You may experience that one or the other is not working, most likely meaning that it's just loose, rather than broken. Try tightening it before replacing it!
Good luck and thank you for using Fixya

educated guess..flasher units (2) one for signals the other for emerg flashers usually located in fuse block under dash drivers side kick panel , glove box area ..or engine compartment near battery

flashers to cause signals to flash so yes that would be correct

96 chevy lumina sedan

for both issues, could possibly be the flasher unit for the blinkers.....which could be separate from the hazard flasher unit...(happened on my 92 chevy lumina) or the actual turn signal switch which is located in the steering column....not the stick you push, but the part inside that the lever controls (also happened on my lumina............3 times)

TIP:

start by checking the flasher....its cheap maybe 3-4$ for a new unit.....if thats not it and you figure out its the switch, go to a junkyard.....its wayyyy cheaper
