2003 GMC Envoy Low beam headlights will not work.

I turn on my 2003 GMC Envoy and the Low Beam Headlights will not come on. My Hi Beam and Fog Lamps do work. My switch on the dash is alwas set on Automatic. I changed both bulbs with no joy. I also checked the fuses and they were good. I also discovered that my cruise control was inop too. I too have an '03 Envoy and I always use the automatic lights. While my corner clearance lights, fog lights, dome lights, dash lights, and high beams work as they are supposed to, my low beams are not working. My 10A fuses, headlights, and relays are fine. Tonight I went as far as to disassemble the headlight switch to look for hotspots on the printed circuit board and there were none. I reassembled everything with no change. I tried the suggested banging of the column, but did not see any changes. Any other ideas or places/ways to check? I too have an '03 Envoy and I always use the automatic lights. I had the same problem,(high beams worked, but low beams didn't) I did all the "easy" stuff first but nothing. I ended up taking it to the dealer and it was the headlamp module! I have lights!!!
