Engine stopped while driving

I have a 1996 GMC Jimmy. The engine stopped while I was driving. There is spark to the plugs but engine wont start

Thanks, where is the fuel pump relay? I know the fuel pump is in the gas tank and assume the filter is part of the fuel pump. Also where is the fuse for the fuel pump so I can check that first.

Look under the Hood and Locate the Fuse Relay Box. The Fuel Pump fuse and Relay Both should be Here. The Diagram for the Box is Inside the Cover. If Not, It is in the Owners Manual.

Are ACDelco 41-942 Spark Plugs the proper plugs for the 1996 GMC JIMMY 4WD V6 , are they pre gaped and what should the proper gap be?

they should be the 41-932 plugs. AC Delco
gap should be 0.060 inch.
Check the gap before installing any plug. You never know if they were damaged in shipping before the part store got them, or if some idiot employee at the store attempted to juggle them while bored one day and damaged them by dropping them.

1996 gmc jimmy wont start seems like advanced timing issue backfiring out throttlebody, replaced timing pick up, distribitor cap, crank sensor, ICM, when ignition conrol module replace the engine ran fine...

You said the problem happened right after the engine was replaced correct? If so bring number cylinder to top dead center on the compression stroke. Remove the distributor cap and see if the rotor is lined up with the number one spark plug wire. It's possible the distributor was installed 180 degrees out.

HAVE A 1996 GMC JIMMY 4.3 NUMBER 1 PLUG IS NOT GETTING ANY FIRE TO IT .I CHANGED PLUGS ,PLUG WIRES , DISTRIBUTER CAP AND ROTOR BUTTON SO WHAT COULD BE MY PROBLEM?

it does not mean new parts are alway good. subtitive a known good wire and check for spark at the wire, if there is spark then check the plug.
if there is no spark then go back to your cap.

Engine cranks,no spark at plugs

If there is no spark at any plugs, you need to check the coil and the ignition module. If you are getting spark to some of them then check the wires and distributor cap.
