Navigation flashes when step on brakes, headlights off

Navigation display dims when stepping on brakes with lights off. Goes away when lights are on. With lights on display flashes when left turn signal is on and is fine when right turn signal is on. All lights seem to be working properly, no bulbs appear to be out. When left turn signal is on, right lights flash dimly.

either the front or the rear turn signal bulb is blown, that is why the flash frequency is high. replace the bulb and the problem will be solved. best to replace both the front and rear turn signal bulbs. good luck.

SOURCE: The pointers (4) on my

the opointers are lit by the lights form the gauges, there is not a seperate bulb for the pointers, more than likely either they are not made ot light up, if they are white then they do not light up, if they are orange in color then it is possible they just do not have the proper illumination to them....

Check the earth to the offending light unit. Clean all the relevant connections. You could also try fitting a temporary earth cable and watch for any improvement. If you find that there is improvement in the operation of the indicator/flasher make the temporary earth cable permanent.

2015 Territory, for 6 months, if headlights turned on in day, dash lights usually dim, centre panel unreadable, sometimes will not dim except at night. When new, latter was norm, but now as above.

This is a different model in the States. If this has a display for the Navigation there are controls to set for brightness and auto adjustment for day and night. These controls are reached within the programming of the Navigation screen and independent of the dash lights switch.

You are probably zoned out of making adjustments when the screen is dark. So you will need to tinker with this when you can see the screen better.

On our vehicles the headlight dimmer switch only controls the dash lights. Could be you had this vehicle serviced. Sometimes when an OIL CHANGE is done the service technician wants to reset the oil interval and goofs up some other settings in the process. Think about when the problem started and if someone else had their hands on your vehicle.

Saab one headlight won't turn off when I turn if the ignition the light remains on. Only the driver side head light

Some cars leave a light on if you switch off with the indicator/turn light left on. Put the stalk to the "OFF" position and see if it goes out.

Completely no power when the car is off.

Is there a possibility you erred in reassembly and shorted a wire inside the unit which in turn blew a fuse in the car somewhere?

High and low headlight and my idle goes low when i step the brake

On power brakes, a leaking vacuum booster can cause such a vacuum leak to engine that idle is affected and headlamps dim because idle is so low. To test, remove and plug hose to booster.

Brake/Signal Lights Problem.

Sounds like a ground problem to me. Bulbs are not getting there ground to complete the circuit so they backfed through the other bulbs.

I have an 85 Mercury Grand Marquis and I have no tail, brake of back up lights or rear directional. When I turn on the headlight switch, I get 12 volts at the tail / Brake light (1157) at all three wires....

You may have a defective turn signal switch, all these circuits run through the switch and on occasion I have repaired a Ford or Two with this same symptom when I was working for a dealer in the middle 80's.

Brake lights dont work, Turn Signals all goofy

First thing i would do is chg. the break light switch, and make sure to chk. all grounds around tailights, sometimes if there is a ground problem it will travel back thru the hot wire to get a ground, witch in turn makes everything go wackey.
