There is a mode actuator just above the accelerator pedal. That could be the problem or the control head also could need to be programed.

My fuel pressure goes to 60 pounds when the keys is turned on then starts dropping Is it my fuel pump or pressure regulator? 2004 GMC Yukon XL

Fuel pressure may drop due to a leaking injector or bad check valve in the fuel pump itself. The regulator does not come into effect until the engine is running and a vacuum supply is produced to it. If the regulator is leaking internally, it could send fuel back to the tank as well. Prime the fuel line and pinch off the return line ( if possible ) to eliminate a regulator problem. If the fuel pressure drops with the return line pinched off, suspect a leaking injector or fuel pump. If injector is leaking, the vehicle should run rich and cause a hard start/rough run condition

Replace spedometer cable 2003 gmc yukon xl

There is no speedometer cable on the 2003 Yukon, if there is no transmission issues like shifting problem. Your instrument cluster has gone bad, to pinpoint. Your stepper motor to your speedometer gauge has failed and needs to be replaced. You can do a search on Ebay for the stepper motor for around $10.00 which is better then the $400.00 cost of another instrument cluster.
There was a TSB on the replacement of the instrument cluster for your Yukon free of charge. The only cost to you is the labor charge unless your willing to do the job your self. Just go to the Gm Dealer and give them this TSB Number: # 07187C: Special Coverage Adjustment - Instrument Panel Cluster Gauge Needle Function - (Mar 20, 2009)
Subject:
07187C -- SPECIAL COVERAGE ADJUSTMENT - INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER GAUGE NEEDLE FUNCTION

Models:
2003-2004 CADILLAC ESCALADE, ESCALADE ESV, ESCALADE EXT
2005 CADILLAC ESCALADE, ESCALADE ESV, ESCALADE EXT (U.S. ONLY)
2003-2004 CHEVROLET AVALANCHE, SILVERADO, SUBURBAN, TAHOE
2005 CHEVROLET AVALANCHE, SILVERADO, SUBURBAN, TAHOE (U.S.ONLY)
2003-2004 GMC SIERRA, YUKON, YUKON XL
2005 GMC SIERRA, YUKON, YUKON XL (U.S. ONLY)

Some customers of all 2003-2004 model year and certain U.S. 2005 model year Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV, and Escalade EXT; Chevrolet Avalanche, Silverado, Suburban, and Tahoe; and GMC Sierra, Yukon, and Yukon XL vehicles have reported that one or more of the instrument panel (IP) cluster gauges stick, flutter, or become inoperative. This may cause inaccurate readings, including the speedometer and fuel gauge. Special Coverage Adjustment This special coverage covers the condition described above for a period of 7 years or 70,000 miles (110,000 km), whichever occurs first, from the date the vehicle was originally placed in service, regardless of ownership.
Dealers are to replace the instrument panel cluster after the condition has been verified. The repairs will be made at no charge to the customer.

For verified failures between 70,001 miles (110,001 km) and 80,000 miles (130,000 km) on U.S. vehicles, dealers are to provide the customer with an instrument panel cluster (IPC) only. Any additional costs, including labor to replace the instrument panel cluster, will be the responsibility of the customer. Dealers are responsible for the return of the customer's IPC back to the Electronic Service Center

Thank you for using fixya and good luck.

Why does it sound like an air compressor is always running?

air shocks, they get cold and go down on air or you have a slight leak in the lines. it is normal for the compressor to come on when you start the car. RT

2004 Yukon XL - air conditioner is working fine, then heat comes on on drivers side and air stays on on passenger side

suspect tempreture sensor on drivers side. it seems to send a signal that this side of the car is too cold.

if you have duel setting so driver can control both sides at same time set also to air and see if it jumps to heat on both sides, if so there seems to be an electical problem with the tempreture contoler.

Air conditioner blows hot air after 30 seconds on drivers side, on start up. Passenger side works fine. Air blows out correct vents per setting on air conditioning. Replaced blend door actuator on drivers...

I have had this problem. I am not a mechanic...so to correct the issue temporarily, I simply turn off the car and restart. This has worked everytime for me. In extreme cases, I think you can also remove the AC fuse and start the car, which will also reset the computer. I also think that by taking the climate control off the "AUTO" setting has worked in the past.

The A/C not working in yukon xl 2004

If----If everything was working great just prior to replacing the battery...In a desperate attempt--just kidding.

I would disconnect the battery
touch the battery's neg & B+ cable ends together.
This discharges capacitors.
Walk away for a few minutes, reconnect the battery and test HVAC functions to see if all is well.

If not.
The GM Dealer's Scanner can recalibrate the AC/ heater Actuators.
Note - Actuators do go bad, there are several in your truck.

Good Luck
