Previous to this car wouldn't start even with a jump. Cause was transmission sensor had gone bad. Had it replaced and balanced. Mechanic says reason it won't start occasionally probably due to the ignition switch. Battery is only a year old and test okay. When I turn the key I notice the clock goes black. Thus I jump the car.
Wont crank or wont start.??
no car starts , if it cant crank. (unless push starter (M/T magic)
that is not a trans sensor its the PRN switch.
ill answer for, wont CRANK !
it wont crank even with a good battery (charged) or jump started.
1: bad start
2: bad wires to same.
so hot wire the starter small wire, the key start line is tiny.
cranks. , starter good, no crank starter bad or cables bad.
if it cranks hot wired, then the key line is dead.
easy, huh?

Check your starter solenoid. Sometimes the wires loosen, or the solenoid just goes bad. Check to make sure all wires are firmly attached. Hope this helps.
SOURCE: Car wouldn't start. Thought
did they run a test on the alternator!! at battery when off should be at least 12.6 volts, less than 12 volts battery is bad. when running at battery voltage should be at least 14.1 to 14.7, thats if alternator is ok. if less than above replace alternator. if alt. is ok, could be a bad battery.

No if its not doing anything at all it could be a bad wiring harness or if ur lucky a bad ignition.

Found that it is the electrical part of the ignition. Positive this is the source of problem for sometimes just holding the key on start position and it starts.
