TRUCK JUMPS, CANT GO OVER 5 MPH, BACKFIRES THRU CARB

First you have no carburator

I would say you have a timing issue
& a serious one

Did someone replace ignition wires or
try to adjust timing on a vehicle that doesn't
get adjusted like decades ago

Need some history & the long version of a story
here

Is the exhaust converter clogged?

Has anyone worked on it ? At home a repair shop?

How's the inside of the cap and rotor ? It could be cross-firing inside the cap.
You could also have a major vac leak somewhere and the engine is starving for fuel.

SOUNDS LIKE A BAD SPEEDOMETER if you can use an OBDII while driving and look for DTC output from speed sensor. possible loose connection can cause this as well
