The battery is fairly new ~ 1 1/2 years old. 630 cranking amps. The head lights are bright when I check to see if battery is low. The blazer won't start when key is turned on. If I jump the blazer and turn the key it starts. BUT if I let it run for a awhile and turn off and go to start again, 99% of the time it won't start. It will make a clicking sound or give a couple of groans and do nothing, until jumped again.
SOURCE: clicking noise when trying to start car, battery is ok, wont start
That Clicking is the Battery causing it not to Start. You need to Replace that Battery or at Least put a Charger on it for a Couple of hours to see if you can Salvage it for a While.

My 2000 cavalier has done this for 6 months. You take your key out then open your door, wait ten minutes and the system resets itself and the car will start-annoying you bet!!!

your alarm system has been tripped when the battery went dead, to get the information on how to reset the alarm is to call the car manufacture to get the procedure, and should not cost you anything.

you get it...try first to adjust the transmission position switch located at the side of the transmission, and before that check also the wiring,,,if good try it,,,if same proble replace the switch
