There is a fluid "pump" that is generally below the washer fluid reservoir under the hood. To check if the pump is bad try to spray some fluid and have someone listen under the hood while you are doing this. If they hear a hum or the system sounds like it is active but you are getting no fluid spraying out then you probably have a kink or stoppage. The spray nozzles are right below the windshield wipers and sometimes a piece of debris has lodged itself in. You can take a safety pin or something similar and try to get it out that way. If not you may have to take the hose apart and clean it that way. Hope this works for you.

Both window wipers work on my 1999 Jeep Cherokee.\,but neither washer works

First I would check the hose's under the Hood to make sure their connected. Check the washer fluid reserve and make sure it has fluid and is not cracked....

if that's not the case check the fuse's under the hood... But I bet the pump for the washer fluid is out

Washer pump doesnt work or run on front. back works fine, same pump and fuse for both

Look at the hose's could be cracked or for that matter could be off somewhere !
Washer Pump/Motor- The reversible electric washer pump/motor unit is located in a dedicated hole on the lower outboard side of the washer reservoir, on the left side of the cooling module fan shroud. This single reversible washer pump/motor provides washer fluid to either the front or rear washer system plumbing, depending upon the direction of the pump motor rotation.

1997 Jeep Cherokee -- Do the front windshield wipers/washer fluid have a fuse? It isn't listed in my owners guide in either of the fuse box locations. They stopped working.

wipers and washers usually have a fuse,
i may be mixed with another fuse.
the best thing to do is check each fuse in turn and see if one is blown or has
corroded connections.

I hope this was helpful.

My 2000 jeep wind sheild washer fuild not coming out. But reservoir is full

Do you hear a whirring when you try to use the washer fluid? If so, the washer fluid pump is still working, if not you will need to replace it. If the pump works, then the problem is most likely the y-fitting that splits the washer fluid between the 2 spray nozzles. I had the center blow out of mine on my dodge. It is under that plastic grate in front of the windshield where your spray nozzles are located. a Y-fitting can be found at a napa or autozone for $2.00 max. Good luck

Hi...I have a 1999 Jeep cherokee Sport. The windshield washer quit..dont know if it is a clogged line or a pump. Not hearing the pump when I activate. Also lines appear to be hidden.

This is most likely due to the washer pump going out. I just replaced mine on my 2000 cherokee. There is a front and back pump which is located under the drivers side fender. You will have to remove the plastic corner bumper to get access to the pumps. This is an easy job to do yourself. Dont forget to have something ready to drain the fluid into when you remove the pump from the washer tank. The front pump is located below the rear pump.

Windshield Washer Fluid does not come out when activated to. W/W Fluid is full and Jeep has been in garage - so not frozen. What is next to do ?

if your wipers work it is not a fuse,
if you cannot hear the pump humming when you push the wash button you will need to replace it,they are around $20.00 at Autozone

Windshield washer fluid not working jeep 1998. It was low on fluid. Jeep is new to us. We filled it. It is cold 20 F. Tried to warm it with heat gun. Still not working M

First, in your climate you should use windshield washer fluid that has a rating for as low as the temperature will get. If you remove the tank, on the bottom of the tank is a little pump. If it is not getting power, you could have a blown fuse. But it's more likely the pump is bad. You can get one at any auto parts store for about $20.00.

1999 Jeep Cherokee rear window washer

There are two separate washer pumps underneith the washer res. behind the front driver quarter panel. The exact pumps are hard to find. I have the same prob with my 99, but both are out. I had a 98 that the front worked but not rear. I had to get a "universal" washer pump. I'm still trying to find a factory replacement for this one before I do that. No luck so far.
